Product Information

Full details

The Elevate Baits Banana & Pineapple Pillows (BP10NP) are high-attract pop-ups designed for carp anglers who require a versatile, high-visibility bait for various fishing conditions. These pop-ups are ideal for both quick sessions and long-term campaigns, offering a dual-fruit aroma profile that triggers feeding responses in diverse water temperatures; however, their soft texture means they may be susceptible to nuisance species if used in areas with high densities of small silverfish.

FAQs

Are these pop-ups suitable for long-range casting?

Yes, their density allows them to withstand forceful casts without splitting, provided they are securely attached to the rig.

Can I use these in PVA bags?

Yes, they are PVA friendly and can be placed inside bags without causing the mesh to dissolve prematurely.

How long will they stay buoyant?

Under normal conditions, they remain highly buoyant for over 24 hours.

Do I need to add a dip or glug?

The pillows are already highly concentrated with attractors, but adding a matching dip can provide an extra boost for short-session tactics.

What is the best way to hook these?

They are best used with a bait screw or by piercing them with a baiting needle and securing with a hair stop.

Are they effective in winter?

Yes, the potent fruit esters work well in colder temperatures, making them a reliable choice for winter fishing.

Troubleshooting

Bait is floating too high on the rig

Trim a small portion of the pillow using a sharp knife to reduce buoyancy until the rig settles exactly as desired.

Small fish are damaging the bait

Consider using a harder hookbait or wrapping the pillow in a small section of protective bait mesh.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Dual-size pack offers greater flexibility for different rig setups
High-attract scent profile is effective in all water temperatures
Washed-out visual appearance reduces bait shyness
Excellent buoyancy for consistent rig mechanics

Cons

Soft texture can be vulnerable to small fish nibbling
Limited color range compared to other pop-up variations
Requires proper storage to maintain long-term scent potency

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure optimal performance, keep the pillows in their original airtight packaging when not in use. This prevents the strong attractors from drying out and maintains the soft, manageable texture of the bait.

Compatibility:

Works with all standard baiting needles.
Ideal for use with wax-based bait floss or pop-up screws.
Compatible with most PVA mesh systems, though it is recommended to dry the bait slightly if using PVA to prevent premature breakdown.

Care Instructions:

Avoid leaving the bag open in direct sunlight, as this will degrade the color and fragrance profile.
If the bait dries out over time, you can briefly rehydrate it with a small amount of matching liquid attractor, though this is rarely necessary if stored properly.
