Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Birkenstocks last, follow these guidelines:
- Initial Fit: When first trying them on, ensure there is a small amount of space at the heel and toes to allow for natural movement. Use the buckle to adjust the strap so your foot feels held in place without restricted circulation.
- Break-in: Wear the shoes for short periods (1-2 hours) over the first week to allow the cork-latex to soften and mold to your anatomy.
- Care: Keep suede clean by using a soft-bristle suede brush to remove dirt. If the suede becomes scuffed, a suede eraser can help. Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or extreme heat sources, which can cause the cork to dry out or crack.
