MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) is a leading slip-plane inside the helmet designed to reduce rotational forces that can occur during angled impacts to the head. This adds an extra layer of safety for your brain.

The internal padding can usually be removed. Hand wash it gently with mild soap and cool water. Allow it to air dry completely before reinserting it into the helmet. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.

It is recommended to replace your helmet every 3-5 years, or immediately after any significant impact, even if no visible damage is apparent. Age and environmental factors can degrade the helmet's protective materials over time.

The ABUS PowerDome MIPS is specifically designed and certified for cycling. It is not recommended for use in other sports such as skiing, skateboarding, or climbing, as they may require different safety standards and features.

The PowerDome air scoop is strategically placed to capture incoming air and channel it through the helmet's deep internal cooling channels, maximizing airflow and helping to keep your head cool via the Venturi effect.

The helmet provides protection from the elements, including light rain. However, it is primarily designed for ventilation, so extensive rain may still lead to some water ingress. Ensure all parts are dry before storing.

Ensure the Zoom Ace dial is tightened sufficiently. Readjust the straps to ensure they are snug under the chin and ears.

Adjust the position of the strap dividers below your ears and ensure the chin buckle is not too tight. Check that the Flowstraps are lying flat against the skin.

Ensure the helmet is positioned correctly on your head and that the vents are not obstructed by hair or accessories. For extreme heat, additional hydration and breaks are recommended.

Ensure you are adjusting the system with clean, dry hands. Refer to the specific adjustment mechanism for any clips or levers that need to be operated.
