Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Surface Preparation: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of loose paint, varnish, or debris. Sand the area lightly to create a slightly rough surface for better adhesion.
- Application: Apply the wood filler with a putty knife, filling the hole or crack completely. Overfill slightly to allow for sanding.
- Drying Time: Allow the filler to dry completely. Drying times vary depending on the depth of the fill and environmental conditions; refer to the product label for specific instructions.
- Sanding: Once dry, sand the filled area smooth with fine-grit sandpaper, feathering the edges to blend with the surrounding surface.
- Finishing: The filled area can now be painted, stained, or varnished. Ensure the finish is compatible with the wood filler.
Compatibility: Brummer Wood Filler is compatible with most paints, stains, and varnishes. Always test in an inconspicuous area before applying to the entire surface.
Care: Store in a cool, dry place. Keep the container sealed when not in use to prevent the filler from drying out. Clean tools with water immediately after use.
