FAQs

Is the mattress included with the Prima Divan Bed?

No, the mattress is sold separately. The divan bed is designed to accommodate standard UK-sized mattresses.

Can I return the bed if I change my mind?

As each bed is custom-made to order, returns are only accepted if the item is found to be faulty at the point of delivery. Please inspect the bed carefully upon arrival.

What are the available colours?

The Prima Divan Bed is available in a curated palette of four serene and versatile colours: Black, Cream, Sky Blue, Mink, and Pink.

Does the bed come flat-packed?

No, all DS Living beds are crafted to order and are not flat-packed. They are delivered assembled by our team.

Are there storage options available?

The Prima Divan Bed is a non-ottoman model. However, optional drawer storage configurations can be purchased separately if additional practicality is desired.

What sizes are available?

The Prima Divan Bed is available in Single, Double, King, and Super King sizes.

What happens if I miss my scheduled delivery?

If you agree to a scheduled delivery slot but are unavailable at the time of delivery, any subsequent re-deliveries will incur a charge.

Troubleshooting

Bed frame feels unstable

Ensure all parts of the frame are correctly aligned and secured. As the bed is delivered assembled, if instability persists, please contact customer service as there may be a structural issue.

Fabric appears creased after delivery

Gently steam the fabric or use a handheld steamer on a low setting, keeping a safe distance. Allow the fabric to dry completely. Alternatively, a soft brush can help lift creases.

Difficulty fitting mattress

Double-check that you have ordered the correct size bed frame for your mattress (e.g., UK Double frame for a UK Double mattress). Ensure the mattress is centered correctly on the divan base.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Elegant and modern design enhances bedroom aesthetics.
  • High-quality, soft-touch fabric for comfort and durability.
  • Sturdy construction provides excellent mattress support.
  • Multiple colour and size options to suit individual preferences and room layouts.
  • Low-profile base integrates seamlessly into contemporary interiors.

Cons

  • Mattress is not included as standard.
  • Returns are not accepted unless the item is faulty upon delivery due to being custom-made.
  • Re-delivery charges apply if the customer is unavailable during a scheduled delivery slot.
  • Non-ottoman design means no built-in under-bed storage unless drawers are purchased separately.

Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions

Setup: The Prima Divan Bed is crafted to order and is not flat-packed. Upon delivery, it is assembled by the delivery team. Ensure the desired room location is accessible and clear.

Compatibility: This divan bed is designed to fit standard UK-sized mattresses. Please verify your mattress dimensions to ensure a proper fit across the available bed sizes (Single, Double, King, Super King).

Care: The bed is upholstered in a premium soft-touch fabric that is durable and easy to maintain. For general cleaning, use a soft, dry cloth to dust. For minor spills or stains, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning agents, which can damage the fabric. Regular vacuuming with an upholstery attachment can help maintain its appearance.
