Yes, it provides excellent wind and water protection, though it is designed as a shell, so layering underneath is recommended for extreme cold.
Yes, the hood is fully removable and can also be concealed within the collar.
The TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) membrane is a waterproof, breathable layer that stops water from entering while allowing internal moisture to escape.
It is recommended to follow the specific care label on your garment, but generally, mild detergents and low-temperature cycles are required to protect the membrane.
The fit is designed to be versatile; the drawcords allow you to cinch it down if wearing light layers or open it up to accommodate thicker mid-layers.
The outer fabric may have lost its DWR coating; consider reapplying a specialized DWR spray after cleaning.
Clean the zipper teeth with a soft brush to remove grit and apply a light silicone-based lubricant if necessary.
To ensure the jacket performs as intended, utilize the various drawcords and hook-and-loop straps to customize the fit before heading out. For care, it is recommended to wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth to remove mud or debris. If deep cleaning is necessary, follow the garment tag instructions strictly to avoid compromising the TPU membrane's integrity. Avoid using harsh detergents or fabric softeners, as these can strip the waterproofing properties. Always store the jacket in a cool, dry place and ensure it is completely dry before folding it for long-term storage.
