Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Nike Structure Plus trainers, follow these care and setup guidelines:
- Fitting: Ensure you have roughly a thumb's width of space between your longest toe and the front of the shoe to account for foot swelling during long runs.
- Break-in Period: While these shoes offer great step-in comfort, consider wearing them for shorter walks or easy runs for the first few sessions to allow the foam to adapt to your foot.
- Cleaning: Hand wash only using mild soap and a soft-bristled brush. Remove the laces and insoles to clean them separately.
- Drying: Air dry at room temperature away from direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as extreme heat can degrade the foam integrity.
- Replacement: As a rule of thumb for daily trainers, monitor the outsole wear and midsole compression; typically, these should be replaced every 300-500 miles of use.
