Setup, Compatibility & Care
First Use and Fit
Upon receiving your Nike Phantom 6 Pro Low FG boots, try them on with your typical playing socks to ensure the best fit. The new shoe frame is designed to be accommodating, but a proper initial fit is crucial. Walk around and perform some light movements to get a feel for the boots. Like most football boots, a short break-in period may be beneficial to fully mold them to your feet.
Ground Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) surfaces. This means they are ideal for natural grass pitches that are not excessively wet or muddy. Using them on artificial turf (AG), hard ground (HG), or extremely soft ground (SG) may compromise performance, accelerate wear, and potentially invalidate warranties. Always check the ground conditions before play.
Care and Maintenance
Proper care extends the life and maintains the performance of your boots:
- Clean After Every Use: Remove loose dirt and grass immediately after playing using a soft brush or damp cloth. Avoid harsh scrubbing that could damage the `Gripskin` upper.
- Wash Gently: If more thorough cleaning is needed, use mild soap and lukewarm water. Do not submerge the boots completely in water. Do not machine wash.
- Dry Naturally: Stuff the boots with newspaper to absorb moisture and help retain their shape. Air dry them at room temperature, away from direct sunlight or artificial heat sources (like radiators), which can cause materials to crack or shrink.
- Inspect Studs: Regularly check the studs for wear or damage. Worn studs can reduce traction and increase the risk of injury.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, ideally in a boot bag to protect them from dust and damage.
