This basket is one of three versions designed by Mario Trimarchi for the Italian brand Alessi. Cut from mirror polished 18/10 stainless steel, 'La Stanza dello Scirocco' presents a bold design that will take centre stage on kitchen counter tops and dining tables alike. The dimensions of the basket are L 24,5 cm x W 23,2 cm x H 6,2 cm. It is designed like a stack of playing cards tumbling to the ground, with a collection of geometrically irregular items made up of small splinters of various sizes, interlaced in an unstable balance. The inspiration behind the design came from hand drawings and images of shadows, inviting personal interpretation. This fruit bowl is made of welded geometrical shapes and interlaced in an unstable balance. Available colours: black, white, mirror polished.
