Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Surface Preparation
Proper preparation is key to a lasting finish:
- Clean: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dirt, grease, or loose flaking paint. Use a suitable cleaner if necessary.
- Sand: Lightly sand previously painted surfaces to provide a key for the new paint. Wipe away dust with a damp cloth and allow to dry.
- Fill: Fill any holes or cracks with a suitable wood filler and sand smooth once dry.
- Stir: Stir the paint thoroughly before and during application to ensure even color and consistency.
Application
- Tools: Apply with a good quality synthetic brush or a short-pile roller.
- Coats: Two coats are recommended for optimal durability, coverage, and color depth. Apply evenly.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation during application and drying.
Compatibility
- Surfaces: Suitable for interior wood and metal surfaces, including radiators.
- No Undercoat: This paint is designed to be applied directly to prepared surfaces without the need for a separate undercoat.
Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning: The painted surface is wipeable and washable. Use a soft cloth or sponge with mild soap and water for cleaning. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scrubbing pads.
- Storage: Store the tin in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the lid is tightly sealed.
- Disposal: Dispose of unused paint and empty tins according to local regulations. Do not pour paint down drains.
