Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
The On Cloudsurfer Max features a standard lacing system combined with next-generation eyestays and a knitted tongue. To ensure optimal comfort and support:
- Loosen Laces: Before putting on the shoes, loosen the laces sufficiently.
- Slide Foot In: Gently slide your foot into the shoe, ensuring your heel is comfortably seated at the back.
- Tighten Evenly: Begin tightening the laces from the bottom (closest to your toes), working your way up. Ensure consistent tension across your foot, avoiding over-tightening which can cause pressure points.
- Knot Securely: Tie a secure knot, double-knotting if preferred, to prevent laces from coming undone during your run.
Compatibility
- Running Style: The Cloudsurfer Max is designed for neutral road runners. If you require significant stability or motion control due to overpronation, this shoe might not provide adequate support.
- Distance: Best suited for long-distance runs and daily training due to its maximal cushioning.
- Surfaces: Optimized for road running and paved surfaces.
Care
To maintain the performance and longevity of your On Cloudsurfer Max shoes:
- Cleaning: Gently clean the recycled polyester mesh upper with a soft brush or cloth and mild soap (like dish soap) mixed with cool water. Avoid harsh detergents or machine washing, as this can damage materials and adhesives.
- Drying: Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight or artificial heat sources (like radiators or tumble dryers), which can warp materials or cause adhesives to fail.
- Storage: Store shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Remove insoles occasionally to air out the interior and prevent odors.
- Avoid Submerging: Do not submerge the entire shoe in water for cleaning.
