Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
- Clean the Surface: Thoroughly clean the surface where the vinyl will be applied. Use a mild detergent and water, then wipe dry completely. Ensure it's free of dust, grease, and any loose particles.
- Measure and Cut: Measure the surface accurately. Add an extra allowance of 2-3 cm on all sides for trimming. Use a sharp utility knife and a ruler to cut the vinyl wrap to size.
- Prepare for Application: Gently peel back about 5-10 cm of the backing paper from one edge of the vinyl.
- Apply and Smooth: Align the exposed adhesive edge with the edge of your surface. Slowly and carefully press the vinyl down, working from the center outwards. Simultaneously, peel off the backing paper gradually with one hand while using a smoothing tool (like a squeegee or a soft cloth) to press out any air bubbles with the other. Overlap edges slightly if covering a large area.
- Trim Excess: Once fully applied, use the utility knife to carefully trim any excess vinyl around the edges for a neat finish.
Compatibility
This vinyl wrap is compatible with any smooth, clean, and flat surface. This includes:
- Kitchen cabinets and doors
- Wooden furniture (tables, dressers, shelves)
- Laminate surfaces
- Plastic objects
- Metal surfaces
- Glass (for opaque applications)
Avoid applying to rough, textured, porous, or uneven surfaces, as adhesion may be compromised and the finish will not be smooth.
Care Instructions
- Cleaning: Wipe the surface regularly with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can damage the matt finish.
- Heat Protection: While heat-resistant up to 70°C, always use coasters or trivets under hot dishes, pots, or pans to prevent potential damage or discoloration.
- Sharp Objects: Be mindful of sharp objects that could scratch or cut the vinyl surface.
