Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation & Setup
This AEG oven is designed as a built-in appliance. For safety and optimal performance, professional installation is strongly recommended. Ensure your kitchen cabinetry can accommodate the oven's dimensions. Always refer to the detailed installation instructions provided in your product manual for specific requirements regarding ventilation and electrical connections.
Compatibility
The AEG SurroundCook oven is designed to fit standard single oven cavity dimensions. Before installation, always confirm the precise cutout dimensions required by checking your product manual to ensure it aligns with your kitchen cabinet specifications. Compatibility with existing electrical circuits should also be verified by a qualified electrician.
Initial Use
Before using the oven for the first time, it's advisable to wipe the interior with a damp cloth. Then, run the oven on a high temperature (e.g., 200°C / 400°F) for about 30-60 minutes to burn off any manufacturing residues. This may produce a slight odor, which is normal. Ensure the kitchen is well-ventilated during this process.
Care & Maintenance
- Aqua Clean Process: After cooking, if residues are present, pour approximately 200ml of water into the bottom of the oven cavity. Select the `Aqua Clean` function (refer to your manual for exact setting). The steam will help soften grease. Once the program finishes and the oven cools, wipe away the softened residue with a soft cloth or sponge. For stubborn spots, a non-abrasive oven cleaner designed for steam ovens may be used cautiously.
- Exterior Cleaning: Clean the silver exterior and LED display with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that could scratch the finish or display.
- Door Glass: For interior door glass, follow the Aqua Clean process. For exterior door glass, use a glass cleaner or mild detergent and a soft cloth.
- Accessories: Remove baking trays and shelves after use and wash them with warm soapy water or in a dishwasher, if compatible.
- Regular Wiping: For light splashes, wipe them down immediately after the oven cools to prevent them from baking on and becoming harder to remove later.
