Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your waterproof trainers:
- Remove loose dirt with a soft brush or damp cloth immediately after use.
- For tougher stains, use a mild soap mixed with water and gently scrub the affected areas with a soft cloth or brush.
- Do not machine wash or tumble dry, as this can damage the waterproof membrane and materials.
- Rinse with clean water (if using soap) and allow the shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources or sunlight.
- Drying: If the inside of the shoes gets wet (e.g., from sweat or water entering from the top), you can stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and speed up drying.
- Waterproof Treatment: Over time, the DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating on the outer fabric may wear off. While the internal membrane remains waterproof, you can apply a DWR spray designed for footwear to the outer material to help water bead off more effectively.
