Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Using your On Running Cloud 6 Waterproof shoes is straightforward:
- Lacing: Utilize the traditional lace fastening to achieve a secure and comfortable fit. Adjust tension evenly across your foot.
- Sock Choice: Pair with moisture-wicking socks to maximize comfort and manage any internal moisture, especially during extended wear or in warmer conditions.
- Initial Wear: Wear them for shorter periods initially to allow the shoes to conform to your feet and ensure the perfect fit and feel.
Compatibility
- Surfaces: Best suited for paved roads, sidewalks, light gravel paths, and indoor environments.
- Weather: Designed for wet weather conditions, including rain and puddles, thanks to their waterproof membrane.
- Activity: Ideal for daily walking, city running, commuting, and general casual wear. Not recommended for intense trail running or extreme hiking.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your Cloud 6 Waterproof shoes:
- Cleaning: Gently brush off loose dirt and mud after each use. For tougher stains, use a soft cloth or brush with mild soap and cold water. Avoid harsh detergents or hot water, as these can damage the waterproof membrane and materials.
- Drying: Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or tumble dryers, which can deform the materials and compromise waterproofing. You can stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Waterproofing Maintenance: While factory-treated, over time, the exterior water repellency might lessen. Consider using a footwear-specific waterproofing spray designed for breathable membranes to refresh this outer layer if needed, though the internal membrane will remain waterproof.
