Setup, Compatibility & Care
First-Time Setup
- Lacing: Ensure you lace your Cloudmonster trainers securely but not overly tight. Experiment with different lacing patterns if you experience pressure points or heel slippage. The goal is a snug, comfortable fit that holds your foot without restriction.
- Socks: Pair your trainers with high-quality, moisture-wicking running socks to prevent blisters and enhance overall comfort.
Compatibility
- Running Type: Best suited for daily training, long runs, and recovery runs on roads, pavements, and well-maintained paths.
- Foot Type: Generally versatile, but individual foot mechanics and preferences for maximal cushioning should be considered.
Care & Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your Cloudmonster trainers:
- Cleaning: After runs, especially in dirty conditions, gently brush off loose dirt from the outsole and upper. For deeper cleaning, use a damp cloth with mild soap (e.g., dish soap) and gently wipe down the mesh and synthetic overlays. Avoid harsh detergents or machine washing, as this can damage materials and adhesives.
- Drying: Always air dry your shoes at room temperature, away from direct sunlight or artificial heat sources (like radiators). Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Storage: Store your trainers in a cool, dry place. Avoid leaving them in direct sunlight or extreme temperatures for prolonged periods.
- Rotation: If you run frequently, consider rotating your Cloudmonster trainers with another pair of running shoes. This allows the cushioning to fully recover between runs and can extend the lifespan of both pairs.
