Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the toaster and all packaging materials. Keep the user manual for future reference.
- Placement: Position the toaster on a stable, heat-resistant, and level surface, ensuring there is adequate clearance from walls and overhead cabinets for proper ventilation during use.
- First Use: Before toasting food, operate the toaster for a few cycles at a medium browning setting without bread. This helps to burn off any manufacturing residues and eliminates initial odors. Some smoke and odor are normal during this process.
- Connect: Plug the toaster into a standard wall outlet. Ensure the voltage matches your household supply.
Compatibility
This De'Longhi Argento Flora toaster is part of a wider collection. Matching kettles and filter coffee machines are available in coordinating colors (Jasmine Beige, Agave Blue, Peppermint Green, and Peony Pink) to complete your kitchen aesthetic.
Care & Maintenance
- Crumb Tray: Regularly empty the removable crumb tray, located at the bottom of the toaster. Pull it out, discard crumbs, and wipe it clean with a damp cloth. Ensure it's completely dry before reinserting.
- Exterior Cleaning: Before cleaning, always unplug the toaster and allow it to cool completely. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn marks, a mild, non-abrasive cleaner can be used, applied to the cloth first, not directly to the toaster. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers.
- Interior Cleaning: Never attempt to clean the inside of the toaster with utensils or anything other than briefly shaking out crumbs while unplugged and cool. Do not immerse the toaster in water.
- Storage: When not in use, ensure the toaster is unplugged and cooled. You can wrap the cord around the integrated cord storage (if available) for a tidy countertop.
