Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
The VonShef Dining Chairs are designed for quick and easy assembly.
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all chairs and parts from the packaging. Ensure all components are present, including the chair backs/seats and legs, along with any hardware and the assembly tool.
- Attach Legs: Position the chair seat/back upside down. Align each leg with its designated mounting point on the underside of the chair.
- Secure Legs: Using the provided hardware (screws and washers) and the assembly tool, firmly attach each leg. Do not overtighten initially.
- Leveling: Once all legs are loosely attached, gently tighten all screws. Place the chair upright on a flat surface to check for stability. If wobbly, loosen the screws slightly, apply even pressure to the seat, and then retighten the screws.
- Repeat: Follow the same steps for any additional chairs in the set.
Compatibility
These chairs are designed for indoor use and their aesthetic blends well with various contemporary and eclectic decor styles, particularly those aiming for a tropical or industrial touch. Their compact size (H86 x W44 x D54cm) makes them suitable for a range of dining tables, kitchen islands, or as standalone accent pieces in bedrooms or home offices. The black color scheme makes them adaptable to many color palettes, though the bold tropical print will be a dominant feature.
Care & Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and appearance of your VonShef Dining Chairs, follow these care guidelines:
- Regular Cleaning: Gently vacuum the upholstered fabric weekly to remove dust and loose debris.
- Spot Cleaning: For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. For tougher stains, use a mild fabric cleaner specifically designed for upholstery, testing first on an inconspicuous area. Avoid harsh chemicals or excessive scrubbing.
- Protect from Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can fade the fabric. Position chairs away from direct sunlight where possible, or use curtains/blinds.
- Avoid Moisture: Keep chairs away from excessive humidity and liquids to prevent damage to the fabric and internal padding.
- Check Fasteners: Periodically inspect leg fasteners and tighten if necessary to maintain stability.
- Weight Limit: Adhere to the 130kg weight capacity per chair to prevent structural damage.
