Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
Both the Homcom Kettle and Toaster are designed for instant use with no assembly required. Simply remove them from their packaging, place them on a stable, flat surface, and plug them into a standard wall socket.
- Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials from both appliances.
- Placement: Position the kettle and toaster on a dry, level, heat-resistant countertop.
- Power Connection: Plug both appliances into individual, earthed 220-240V ~ 50/60Hz wall sockets.
- First Use (Kettle): Before first use, fill the kettle with fresh water to the MAX line, boil, and discard the water. Repeat this process 2-3 times to remove any manufacturing residues.
Compatibility
These appliances are compatible with standard household electrical outlets (220-240V ~ 50/60Hz). Their compact size ensures they fit well in most kitchen layouts.
Care and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your Homcom set.
Kettle Care
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Interior/Descaling: Periodically descale the kettle, especially in hard water areas. Use a proprietary descaling solution or a natural solution (e.g., vinegar and water) following the product instructions. Rinse thoroughly after descaling.
- Storage: Ensure the kettle is cool and dry before storing.
Toaster Care
- Crumb Tray: Always unplug the toaster before cleaning. Remove and empty the crumb tray after each use or as needed. Wash the tray with warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry completely before reinserting.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning pads or strong chemical cleaners.
- Interior: Never insert metal objects into the toaster slots to clean. If bread becomes stuck, unplug the toaster and carefully dislodge it once cooled.
- Storage: Ensure the toaster is cool and dry before storing.
