Core Identity packable gilet - EA7 - Blue

The EA7 Core Identity Packable Gilet is designed for milder weather or as a layering piece. For very cold winter conditions, it's recommended to wear it as a mid-layer under a heavier, weather-resistant outer jacket, or opt for a more heavily insulated coat.

To pack, gently fold or roll the gilet into a compact shape, starting from the bottom. Push it evenly into the provided dust bag until it's fully enclosed. Avoid excessive force to prevent damage to the down or fabric.

The gilet is made from 100% Polyamide for the outer shell, filled with goose down padding for insulation.

The gilet is lightweight and made of technical fabric, but its primary function is warmth, not waterproofing. It offers minimal resistance to light rain or drizzle. For heavy rain, it's advisable to wear a waterproof outer layer over it.

With proper care (following washing instructions), the EA7 logo is designed to be durable. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning that could damage the print.

The gilet is described as having a 'regular fit.' We recommend consulting the brand's specific size guide if available, but generally, you can choose your usual size for a comfortable fit that allows for layering.

This is common with down products. Air dry flat and periodically fluff or pat the gilet during the drying process to redistribute the down evenly and help it regain its loft. You can also try adding a few clean tennis balls to the dryer (on an air-only or no-heat setting if you must use a dryer, though air drying is recommended) to help break up down clumps.

Ensure no fabric is caught in the zipper teeth. Gently pull the fabric away from the zipper as you operate it. If it's still stiff, a small amount of zipper lubricant or graphite from a pencil can be applied carefully to the teeth.

A minimal amount of down leakage is normal for down-filled garments, especially new ones. It should reduce over time. Avoid pulling feathers out, as this can create larger holes; instead, push them back in from the reverse side if possible. Ensure seams are intact.

Confirm the gilet is used for appropriate weather conditions; it's designed for milder temperatures or layering, not extreme cold. Ensure the down is evenly distributed (fluff it if needed). Check if the gilet is clean, as dirt can reduce insulation properties.
