A guide-quality Vibram® soled wading boot that provides the support, traction and durability you need to negotiate varied river beds and the trails that get you there day in and day out. This boot is designed with working guides in mind, offering the support, traction and durability demanded by over 200 days on the river. It features significant ankle support and an enhanced feel underfoot for reaching difficult locations. The Rivertread® build enhances under-boot feel, making unseen elements easier to navigate without sacrificing overall support or traction. With proven durability for daily hiking and wading, the G3 Guide™ Boot ensures confidence on rocky riverbeds worldwide. Guide Boot Care: For proper cleaning to decrease the likelihood of spreading Aquatic Invasive Species, please reference our CleanStream™ page. Guide boots are made of water-repellent full grain Nubuck leather and require minimal maintenance but should be cleaned and dried. If used in saltwater, always clean and rinse to prevent corrosion. Use a brush (such as an old vegetable brush or toothbrush) to remove dust and dirt. Remove laces before cleaning for thoroughness. Use specialized boot cleaner, saddle soap, or a mild dishwashing soap with lukewarm water. Do not use bar soap or detergents. Avoid placing wet boots near heat sources (fireplace, campfire, wood stove, radiator, heater, sunny windowsill) as this can weaken adhesives and cause materials to become brittle or shrink. Dry using natural methods (air dry) and keep out of direct sun for extended periods. Boots dry faster when positioned upside-down. Stuffing newspaper into the boots can absorb moisture; change the paper hourly. If mold appears, brush with a mixture of 80% water and 20% vinegar. Over time, leather conditioners can enhance water repellency and prevent cracking and drying of the leather. Store boots in a location with stable, normal temperatures. Avoid storage in attics, garages, car trunks, or any unventilated spaces. Never put boots in a washing machine.
