Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Unboxing: Remove shoes from packaging. Inspect for any manufacturing defects.
- First Fit: Have the child try on the shoes with their usual athletic socks. Ensure there is about a thumb's width of space between the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
- Adjust Laces: The elastic bungee laces are designed for a snug fit. While not adjustable like traditional laces, ensure the foot feels secure and doesn't slip inside the shoe.
- Heel & Pull Tabs: Utilize the pull tabs on the heel and tongue to guide the foot smoothly into the shoe, ensuring the heel is properly seated.
Compatibility
These shoes are optimized for road running, city environments, and everyday athletic activities. They perform best on paved surfaces, sidewalks, and indoor tracks. While versatile for active play, they are not specifically designed for rugged trail running or highly technical terrains that require aggressive lugs or specialized ankle support.
Care & Maintenance
Proper care extends the life and maintains the performance of your Cloudswift Juniors:
- Cleaning: For general dirt, gently brush off loose debris. For tougher stains, mix a small amount of mild soap with cool water. Use a soft cloth or brush to gently clean the polyester upper and rubber sole. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Always air dry the shoes away from direct heat sources (like radiators or direct sunlight) to prevent material degradation. Do not machine wash or machine dry.
- Storage: Store shoes in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid leaving them in direct sunlight or extreme temperatures for prolonged periods.
- Odor Control: If odors develop, remove insoles (if removable) and air them out. You can also use shoe deodorizers or baking soda sprinkled inside the shoes overnight.
- Regular Inspection: Periodically check the outsole for excessive wear or embedded debris. Inspect the upper for tears or excessive abrasion. Timely cleaning and inspection help identify potential issues early.
