Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Prepare the Wall: Ensure walls are clean, dry, smooth, and free from loose paint or old wallpaper. Fill any holes or cracks and sand smooth. Apply a primer if your walls are very porous or freshly plastered.
- Gather Tools: You will need a tape measure, spirit level, pencil, sharp utility knife, smoothing brush or roller, decorator's scissors, and a bucket for paste (if using powdered). A plumb line is crucial for starting straight.
- Measure and Cut: Measure your wall height and add 5-10cm for trimming at the top and bottom. Cut your first strip. For subsequent strips, align them against the previous one on the floor to match the 32cm offset repeat before cutting. This is critical for seamless pattern flow.
- Apply Paste: Apply a generous, even layer of 'paste-the-wall' wallpaper paste directly onto the wall for the width of one strip, ensuring edges are well covered.
- Hang the Wallpaper: Apply the first strip to the pasted wall, using your plumb line as a guide to ensure it's perfectly straight. Smooth out any bubbles with your brush or roller, working from the center outwards. Butt edges tightly against the previous strip, matching the offset design carefully.
- Trim: Use a utility knife and a straight edge to trim excess paper at the top and bottom.
Compatibility
This wallpaper is suitable for most interior dry rooms such as living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, and hallways. Due to its paper-based nature and 'paste-the-wall' application, it is not recommended for high-moisture environments like bathrooms or areas with direct contact with water unless specifically sealed with a protective coating (which may alter its appearance).
Care
To maintain the beauty of your Superfresco Easy Innocence Wallpaper:
- Dusting: Gently dust with a soft, dry cloth or duster regularly.
- Spot Cleaning: For light marks, gently wipe with a slightly damp, soft sponge or cloth. Avoid harsh scrubbing or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the delicate surface or color. Pat dry immediately.
- Avoid Chemicals: Do not use chemical cleaning agents, solvents, or excessive water.
