Regatta Brianka Waterproof Jacket - Blue

Isotex 15000 is a waterproof and breathable fabric technology used by Regatta. The '15000' rating indicates its performance in terms of breathability (15,000 g/m²/24 hours) and hydrostatic head (waterproofness).

Machine wash at 40°C with a mild detergent. Do not use bleach or fabric softener. Tumble dry on low heat or hang to dry.

The jacket itself is primarily for rain protection. For cold weather, it is designed to be layered over warmer clothing such as a fleece or insulated jacket. The lightweight design makes it suitable for layering.

Taped seams means that the stitches on the inside of the jacket have been covered with a waterproof tape. This prevents water from leaking through the needle holes created during the stitching process, ensuring full waterproof integrity.

The Brianka jacket has a longline shape, meaning it extends further down the body than a standard jacket, offering more coverage. It is designed for a comfortable, everyday fit, with adjustable cuffs and hood for a personalized feel.

Re-waterproofing is recommended when you notice water is no longer beading on the surface and is starting to soak into the fabric. This can vary depending on usage and care, but often after 5-10 washes or when performance seems reduced.

The Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish may have worn off. Wash the jacket according to care instructions without fabric softener, then tumble dry on a low heat or use a fabric re-proofer spray/wash. Ensure to follow the re-proofer's instructions.

Gently clean the zipper teeth with a damp cloth and a small amount of mild soap. Ensure any residue is rinsed off. Lubricate the zipper with a wax-based product (like a candle or specialized zipper lubricant) or even a small amount of petroleum jelly, then work the zipper back and forth.

This can indicate reduced breathability. Ensure the jacket is clean, as dirt and oils can clog the fabric's pores. Wash using a technical fabric cleaner and ensure it's fully dry. If the issue persists, the fabric's breathability may be compromised over time.
