Isotex 15000 is a waterproof and breathable fabric technology. The '15000' rating indicates that the fabric can withstand 15,000mm of water pressure, meaning it's highly waterproof, and offers good breathability, allowing moisture vapor to escape from the inside.

You'll know it's time to re-proof when water no longer beads up on the fabric surface and instead soaks in or darkens the material. This indicates the DWR finish has worn off.

The jacket is designed primarily for waterproof protection. For cold weather, you would need to layer appropriately underneath with warm insulation like fleece or down.

A grown-on hood is a hood that is permanently attached to the main body of the jacket during its construction, as opposed to a detachable hood.

The pockets are zipped for security, but the fabric itself is waterproof. While the zippers offer some protection, it's advisable not to store sensitive electronics in the pockets during heavy downpours.
