Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Proper preparation and care will ensure the best results and longevity for your painted surfaces.
Setup & Preparation
- Read Instructions: Always read the complete instructions on the tin before starting your project.
- Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and sound. Remove any loose or flaking paint, dirt, or grease. Lightly sand glossy surfaces to create a key for better adhesion.
- Ventilation: Work in a well-ventilated area due to the paint's high VOC content and solvent base. Open windows and doors.
- Protection: Cover surrounding areas with dust sheets to protect from drips and spills. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as gloves, to prevent skin contact.
- Stirring: Stir the paint thoroughly before use to ensure a consistent color and finish.
Compatibility
- Surfaces: Compatible with interior and exterior wood and metal surfaces, including radiators.
- Self-Undercoating: No separate undercoat is required for most applications, simplifying the painting process.
Care & Maintenance
- Drying Time: Allow 16 hours for the paint to dry completely between coats or before subjecting the surface to use.
- Cleaning: The dried surface is wipeable. Clean gently with a damp cloth and mild detergent if necessary.
- Storage: Store the paint in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the lid is tightly sealed to prevent the paint from drying out.
- Safety: Keep out of reach of children. Flammable liquid. In case of contact with eyes or skin, rinse immediately with plenty of water. If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately.
