Reissued in 2013, the Birdy wall light is part of Birger Dahl's award-winning modernist design series from 1952. Updated for contemporary use, Northern has taken care to preserve the original shape and highly functional features that first gave it international acclaim. Compact but striking, the Birdy wall light provides ideal task lighting thanks to its practical adjustable head, and choice of either a short or long arm. Crafted from aluminium, the shade comes in a black, grey or white finish, and the supporting structure comes in a choice of brass, black or steel. Perfect for any modern or contemporary interior, place the Birdy next to a bed, a sofa, an armchair or over a kitchen counter. This designer wall lamp Birdy features a plug cable, switch, and variable alignment. With its simple, timeless design, the Birdy wall lamp is a versatile light source that can be combined in many ways. Designed in 1952 by Birger Dahl, the series corresponds to the style of the 1950s and 1960s; today, Birdy is accompanied by a discreet retro charm. The characteristic head of the luminaire series is designed as a truncated cone with slanted light emission. Whether the light is emitted downwards or rather forwards can be determined thanks to a joint at the attachment of the shade. The latter is held by a long arm that can be swivelled horizontally. The lamp is equipped with a plug cable including switch, so that no wiring is required.
