Reissued in 2013, the Birdy wall light is part of Birger Dahl's award-winning modernist design series from 1952. Updated for contemporary use, Northern has taken care to preserve the original shape and highly functional features that first gave it international acclaim. Compact but striking, the Birdy wall light provides ideal task lighting thanks to its practical adjustable head, and choice of either a short or long arm. Crafted from aluminium, the shade comes in a black, grey or white finish, and the supporting structure comes in a choice of brass, black or steel. Perfect for any modern or contemporary interior, place the Birdy next to a bed, a sofa, an armchair or over a kitchen counter. This practical wall lamp Birdy with short arm embodies the style of the 1950s and 1960s and today looks topical again as an accessory with retro charm. The wall lamp is simple and elegant at the same time and also convinces as a functional light source. The latter is achieved with the joint, via which the lamp head designed as a truncated cone is attached to the short, horizontal arm. The light can thus be directed downwards or forwards into the room. Wiring is not necessary, as the wall lamp is equipped with a plug cable including switch.
