Setup: Molding Your Gel Max Mouth Guard
Achieving the perfect fit is crucial for protection and comfort. Follow these steps carefully:
- Boil Water: Bring a pot of water to a rolling boil.
- Cool Slightly: Remove the pot from heat and let it sit for about `30 seconds`.
- Submerge Mouth Guard: Hold the mouthguard by the strap or a spoon and submerge it in the hot water for `60-90 seconds`. Do not exceed this time.
- Remove & Cool: Carefully remove the mouthguard from the hot water and quickly dip it into cold water for `1-2 seconds` to cool the surface.
- Place in Mouth: Position the mouthguard around your upper teeth. Bite down firmly, sucking out the air and using your fingers to press the mouthguard against your teeth and gums. Hold for `20 seconds`.
- Cool Fully: Remove the mouthguard and place it in cold water for `30 seconds` to set the shape.
- Test Fit: Try it on. It should feel snug and comfortable, staying in place without needing to be held by your tongue. If the fit isn't right, you can repeat the process `1-2` more times.

Care & Maintenance
To ensure longevity and hygiene:
- Clean After Each Use: Rinse the mouthguard thoroughly with cool water after every use. You can also use a toothbrush with mild soap and water, or a specialized mouthguard cleaning tablet.
- Dry Completely: Air dry the mouthguard before storing it.
- Store Properly: Keep your mouthguard in a ventilated case to prevent bacterial growth and protect it from damage. Avoid leaving it in direct sunlight or extreme heat.
- Inspect Regularly: Check for any tears, holes, or signs of wear. A damaged mouthguard offers less protection and should be replaced.
