The Dare 2b Eagle IV Ski Jacket is a high-performance outer layer designed for adult male skiers who demand uncompromising protection in harsh alpine environments. Featuring the proprietary ARED 35/35K stretch fabric, it offers industry-leading waterproof and breathable ratings, ensuring you stay dry and comfortable even during intense activity. While it is highly capable for full days on the mountain, users should note that the high-warmth padding is specialized for cold-weather skiing and may feel too heavy for mild spring conditions.

Yes, it features a grown-on technical hood with adjustable toggles to ensure a secure fit against the wind.
The jacket is constructed from high-durability, abrasion-resistant polyester designed to withstand mountain wear.
Follow the garment care label inside the jacket. Generally, use a mild detergent, avoid fabric softeners, and perform regular technical re-proofing to maintain the waterproof finish.
The DWR coating may be wearing off. Clean the jacket and re-apply a DWR spray, then tumble dry on a low heat setting to reactivate the water-repellent properties.
Check for trapped fabric or dried mud/salt. Clean the zipper teeth with a soft brush and, if necessary, apply a small amount of non-greasy zipper lubricant.
Even with high breathability, intense physical output may cause moisture buildup. Ensure you are using moisture-wicking base layers rather than cotton.
To ensure the jacket maintains its performance, avoid using harsh fabric softeners, as they can degrade the DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish. After use, clear debris from the zippers to maintain smooth movement. The jacket is compatible with standard ski layers, and the hem adjusters allow it to sit flush over most ski trousers. Periodically check that the internal snowskirt is properly snapped in or removed based on your specific daily requirements. If the water-repellent performance begins to wane, consider using a specialized DWR re-proofing spray to restore the exterior coating.
