FAQs

Is the jacket breathable?

Yes, it features integrated moisture-wicking technology to help manage internal heat and sweat during movement.

Can I put this in the tumble dryer?

It is generally recommended to air dry the cagoule to preserve the waterproof coating, but please check the specific care label on your garment.

What does 3000mm hydrostatic head mean?

This indicates the jacket's waterproof capability; it can withstand a column of water 3000mm high before moisture begins to penetrate the fabric.

Does this jacket come with a hood?

Yes, it features an adjustable hood to provide full coverage against rain and wind.

Is this jacket suitable for winter?

The jacket is waterproof and windproof, making it suitable as an outer shell, though you will need to wear insulating layers underneath for warmth in cold temperatures.

Troubleshooting

Water appears to be soaking through the fabric

The DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating may have worn off. Apply a wash-in or spray-on re-proofer designed for waterproof synthetic fabrics.

Zipper is sticking

Clean the zipper teeth with a soft brush to remove dirt or dried mud and ensure no fabric is caught in the teeth.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Extremely lightweight and easy to carry
Provides solid 3000mm waterproof protection
Versatile baggy fit accommodates extra layers underneath
Includes a convenient stuff sack for portability
Durable nylon construction for year-round reliability

Cons

Baggy fit may feel too loose if worn over a single t-shirt
Limited pocket space with only one zipped pocket
Not intended for extreme high-altitude alpine conditions

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To keep your cagoule in top condition, ensure you follow these guidelines:

Storage: Always ensure the garment is completely dry before folding it into the provided stuff sack to prevent mildew.
Cleaning: Hand wash or machine wash on a delicate cycle using technical garment cleaner. Avoid harsh detergents or fabric softeners, as these can strip the waterproof coating.
Compatibility: The baggy fit is designed to be worn over mid-layers, such as sweaters or light fleeces.
Maintenance: Periodically check for debris in the zipper track to ensure smooth operation of the pocket and main closure.
