Setup

1. Initial Fitting: When first trying on, ensure you go up half a size from your usual for the recommended fit.
2. Lacing: Utilize the lace closure to achieve a secure and comfortable fit. Experiment with different lacing patterns if you experience pressure points.
3. Break-in Period: Like all quality leather boots, the Copa Icon FG requires a short break-in period. Wear them for light training sessions or casual use initially to allow the leather to fully conform to your foot.

Compatibility

• Playing Surface: These boots are designed specifically for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This includes natural grass fields that are dry and firm.
• Incompatible Surfaces: Do NOT use these boots on artificial grass (AG), soft ground (SG), or indoor surfaces, as it can damage the soleplate, studs, and void any warranty. Using them on inappropriate surfaces can also lead to injury.

Care

1. Cleaning After Use: After each use, wipe down the leather upper with a damp cloth to remove dirt and mud.
2. Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources (like radiators), or tumble dryers, as this can cause the leather to crack or stiffen.
3. Stuffing: To help maintain the boot's shape, stuff the inside with newspaper or boot trees when not in use.
4. Leather Conditioning: Periodically apply a quality leather conditioner or cream, especially after heavy use or cleaning, to keep the leather soft, supple, and prevent cracking.
5. Stud Inspection: Regularly check the studs for wear or damage. Replace boots if studs are excessively worn down, as this can compromise grip and stability.
