Product Information

Full details

The Arthouse Bahia Marble Wallpaper is designed for homeowners and DIY enthusiasts looking to add a sophisticated, modern aesthetic to their interiors with minimal effort. Its primary benefit is the high-quality, handcrafted marble effect featuring elegant navy and grey tones accented with metallic gold, which instantly elevates the visual depth of a room. However, users should be aware that because it is a flat, smooth-finish wallpaper, it requires a very well-prepared, blemish-free wall surface to ensure the pattern looks flawless once applied.

FAQs

Is this wallpaper suitable for bathrooms?

While the surface is smooth, it is not listed as waterproof or moisture-resistant, so it is best used in dry areas of the home.

How much does one roll cover?

Each roll is 10.05m long. You should calculate the total square footage of your wall and include extra for pattern matching and waste.

Can I use this on a textured wall?

It is not recommended. The flat finish of this wallpaper will highlight any texture underneath, leading to a poor final result.

How do I match the marble pattern?

The pattern is designed to flow; take care when cutting strips to align the swirls at the seams before applying the adhesive to the wall.

Does the gold shimmer in low light?

The metallic gold accents are subtle; they catch the light best in well-lit rooms or under focused task lighting.

Troubleshooting

Bubbles appearing after hanging

Gently smooth the wallpaper from the center outwards using a wallpaper smoothing tool or soft cloth while the adhesive is still wet.

Seams are visible

Ensure you are using the correct amount of paste and that you are not stretching the paper during application, which can lead to shrinkage gaps.

Pros and Cons

Metallic details may require specific lighting to appreciate fully

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Before beginning application, ensure the wall surface is clean, dry, and primed. Because this is a high-quality smooth paper, even small bumps can be visible after installation.

Preparation: Fill any cracks and sand down rough areas until the wall is perfectly smooth.
Application: Use a high-quality wallpaper adhesive suitable for non-woven or standard wallpaper types as per the manufacturer's recommendation.
Alignment: Use a plumb line to ensure the first strip is perfectly vertical, as marble patterns are unforgiving with crooked seams.
Maintenance: To clean, use a soft, slightly damp cloth to gently wipe the surface. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive sponges, as these can damage the metallic gold accents and the smooth finish.
