Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Lacing: Begin by loosening the laces completely. Slide your foot into the boot, ensuring your heel is comfortably seated at the back.
- Tightening: Starting from the toes, progressively tighten the laces upwards. Ensure the lacing is snug but not overly tight, allowing for proper blood circulation. Use the over lace system to secure the ankle area without restricting movement.
- Testing: Walk around indoors to ensure a comfortable fit. Your toes should not touch the front of the boot when walking downhill. Adjust lacing as needed.

Product Care
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your Karrimor Mount Walking Boots:
- Cleaning: After each use, especially in muddy or dirty conditions, wipe away loose dirt with a soft brush or damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a specialised suede cleaner following the product instructions. Avoid harsh detergents.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can damage the materials and adhesives. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Waterproofing: Over time, the DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment on the suede/textile upper may wear off. Reapply a suitable waterproofing spray or treatment designed for suede and breathable membranes to maintain water repellency.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight.
- Maintenance: Regularly check laces for wear and replace if necessary.
