Setup
The Salomon XT-6 features the `Quicklace® System` for a fast and secure fit. To put on your shoes:
- Loosen the `Quicklace®` by pulling the slider away from the shoe opening.
- Slide your foot in, ensuring your heel is comfortably seated.
- Pull the `Quicklace®` cord upwards until the shoe feels snug, but not uncomfortably tight.
- Secure the slider by pushing it down towards the shoe.
- Stow any excess lace in the lace pocket located on the tongue.
Compatibility
These shoes are designed as `Unisex` footwear, suitable for a wide range of foot shapes. This specific model is `UK Size 6`. Always refer to Salomon's sizing charts for the most accurate fit if you are unsure. Its robust design is compatible with various trail conditions, from dry, rocky paths to muddy and uneven surfaces.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your XT-6 shoes:
- Cleaning: After use, especially in muddy conditions, gently brush off loose dirt. For deeper cleaning, use a damp cloth and a small amount of mild soap (like dish soap). Gently wipe the `textile and synthetic uppers` and `Contagrip® outsole`. Do not machine wash or tumble dry, as this can damage the materials and bonding.
- Drying: Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or prolonged sunlight, which can cause materials to stiffen or warp.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Ensure they are clean and dry before storing to prevent mildew or odor build-up.
- Maintenance: Periodically check the `Quicklace® System` for any wear or fraying. The `OrthoLite® sockliner` can be removed and air-dried if it becomes damp.
