Ensure skin is well-hydrated and exfoliated. Apply less product, build layers gradually, and use a damp sponge or brush for blending. Setting spray can also help meld the makeup with your skin.

Use an oil-controlling or long-wear primer before application. Set your foundation with a light dusting of translucent powder, especially in the T-zone. A setting spray can also enhance longevity.

Try blending a small amount down your neck to see if it truly matches. If not, consider trying a different shade. MAC offers many undertones and depths; NC shades are for neutral-cool (golden/beige) undertones, NW for neutral-warm (pink/rosy) undertones.

Stop using immediately. Perform a patch test on a small, inconspicuous area of skin (e.g., behind the ear) before full application. Consult a dermatologist if irritation persists.

Shake the bottle well before each use. This is common for fluid foundations, especially if not used for a while. If separation persists or alters texture significantly, it might be expired.
