To ensure optimal comfort and longevity, follow these guidelines for your Regatta Amble Walking Boots.
Setup (First Use & Fit):
- Ensure your child wears appropriate socks (e.g., moisture-wicking walking socks) to enhance comfort and breathability.
- Loosen laces completely before putting the boot on.
- Slide foot in, ensuring the heel sits snugly at the back.
- Tighten laces firmly but comfortably, starting from the toe and working upwards. Ensure no pressure points or rubbing.
- Check for proper toe room: there should be about a thumb's width between the longest toe and the end of the boot.
- Have your child walk around indoors to assess the fit and comfort.
Compatibility:
These boots are suitable for a wide range of activities for children, including:
- Everyday school wear
- Outdoor play and park visits
- Light to moderate hiking and family walks
- Camping and nature explorations
- Wet or muddy conditions
Care & Maintenance:
- Cleaning: After use, especially in muddy conditions, brush off any loose dirt with a soft brush. Wipe the synthetic leather upper with a damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a mild soap solution and rinse thoroughly. Do NOT use harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can damage the materials and waterproof membrane. You can stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and help maintain their shape.
- Waterproofing: While the boots feature an ISOTEX membrane, periodically treating the synthetic leather upper with a suitable waterproof spray (designed for synthetic materials) can help maintain the outer water repellency.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
