Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure boots are laced snugly but not too tightly. Teach children to tie double knots to prevent laces from coming undone during activity.
- Sock Choice: Pair with moisture-wicking socks to maximize the breathable properties of the ISOTEX membrane and enhance comfort.
Compatibility
These boots are suitable for a wide range of outdoor activities including walking, hiking, school use, and general everyday wear in varying weather conditions. They are designed for kids and perform well across different terrains.
Care
- Cleaning: After use, brush off loose dirt and mud. For stubborn dirt, wipe the synthetic leather upper with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh detergents or abrasive brushes.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not force dry them with direct heat (e.g., radiators, hairdryers), as this can damage the materials and compromise the ISOTEX membrane.
- Waterproofing Maintenance: While initially waterproof, regular exposure to elements can degrade the DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish. Occasionally treat the boots with a suitable footwear re-proofing spray designed for synthetic materials to maintain optimal water repellency.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
