Universal application screws with a 4CUT point for precise positioning, reduced splitting, and low...Universal application screws with a 4CUT point for precise positioning, reduced splitting, and lower screwing-in torque. They countersink easily for quick and secure fastening. The screws mill into the wood and stop on metal, featuring a Pozi bit recess and requiring no pre-drilling in most wood types. Available in metric sizes, this range of Pozi drive, countersunk wood screws is ideal for use when screwing into most kinds of wood without splitting the material. Manufactured from steel and finished with a yellow zinc plating, the 4 cut-point bores into the wood, working to divide the fibres whilst the ground, precise serrations work to prevent the wood from splitting. Countersunk head allows the product to sit flush with the material for a smooth and clean finish. Available in a variety of metric sizes and box quantities. Features include a zinc plated, yellow passivated finish to bolster resistance to rust, weathering, and chemicals. Typical applications include chipboard, softwood, hardwood, plywood, and MDF. The MULTIhead has cutting ribs to help the head countersink easily and reduce thread stripping when fixing hinges. The deeper recess in the screw-head provides a stronger bit hold. The 4CUT Point ensures no splitting even when working close to the edge and requires no pre-drilling, even in hard woods, with the screw point taking immediate hold. Ground serrations reduce driving in torque and have a hard synthetic coating for easy driving and ultimate holding power. This new SPAX screw offers enhanced flexibility with universal application in wood, chipboard, MDF, plastic, and even thin metal sheet. Please note: SPAX has begun phasing out the yellow finish S series screws and is replacing them with a silver-coloured finish. We are unable to guarantee which type you will receive until this changeover is complete.
