The paint is touch-dry in approximately 1 to 2 hours and can be recoated after 4 hours.

You should remove loose, flaking paint and rust with a wire brush. Smooth, glossy surfaces should be abraded to provide a 'key' for better adhesion.

For bare or rusty metal, apply 2 coats. For previously painted metal in good condition, 1 coat is usually sufficient.

It is excellent for iron and steel. For galvanised, zinc, or aluminium surfaces, you must apply a specific metal primer first.

Use Hammerite Brush Cleaner & Thinners to clean tools; standard soap and water will not work on this solvent-based product.
