Compatibility
These shoes are highly compatible with:
- Environments: Best suited for urban settings, light trails, mixed terrain, and general outdoor activities where weather protection and reliable grip are valued.
- Activities: Ideal for daily wear, commuting, walking, light hiking, and travel.
- Climate: Suitable for all seasons, particularly effective in wet or damp conditions due to the GORE-TEX membrane.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your Salomon XT-6 GORE-TEX shoes:
- Cleaning: After use, especially if dirty, remove loose dirt with a soft brush or damp cloth. For tougher grime, use a mild soap and water solution. Avoid harsh detergents or solvents.
- GORE-TEX Care: Do not use bleach or fabric softeners. Rinse thoroughly after cleaning to remove all soap residue.
- Drying: Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can damage materials and the GORE-TEX membrane.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
- Re-proofing: While the GORE-TEX membrane itself is durable waterproof, the outer fabric (DWR treatment) may lose its water repellency over time. If water no longer beads on the surface, consider applying a water-repellent treatment suitable for breathable footwear (Info needed: specific product recommendations if available).
