Setup, Compatibility & Care
Surface Preparation
For optimal results, thorough preparation is crucial:
- Clean: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dirt, dust, and loose material.
- Fill: Repair any cracks or holes with appropriate filler and sand smooth.
- Prime: For new plaster, porous surfaces, or when painting over a strong color, apply a suitable primer or a mist coat (paint thinned with water, as per manufacturer's instructions) to ensure even absorption and adhesion.
- Sand: Lightly sand previously painted gloss or satin surfaces to provide a key for the new paint. Wipe clean afterwards.
Application
- Stir well before use.
- Apply with a good quality brush or roller.
- Apply two coats for best depth of color and finish, allowing adequate drying time between coats (Info needed: specific drying time).
- Maintain a consistent application to ensure an even matt finish.
Compatibility
This Dulux Heritage Velvet Matt paint is suitable for interior walls and ceilings.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning: For light marks, gently wipe the painted surface with a soft, damp (not wet) cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh scrubbing, as this can damage the matt finish and create shiny patches.
- Touch-ups: Keep a small amount of paint for future touch-ups, ensuring consistency by stirring well before use.
- Storage: Store paint in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and frost. Ensure the lid is tightly sealed.
