Vibram® is known for its durable rubber compounds. The TC5+ formulation is designed for a balance of grip and longevity, though aggressive use on abrasive surfaces will naturally lead to wear over time.

Regular cleaning helps maintain the GORE-TEX® membrane's performance. Reapplying a specific GORE-TEX® footwear treatment is recommended annually or when you notice a decrease in water repellency, depending on usage frequency and conditions.

Ensure laces are properly tightened to prevent water ingress. Check for any tears or damage to the GORE-TEX® membrane. Prolonged submersion or extreme sweating can sometimes lead to moisture buildup, which is normal.

Ensure the Vibram® TC5+ outsole is clean of mud or debris. The tread is designed for varied terrain; very smooth or polished surfaces may offer less traction. Check if the boot fit is secure; a loose fit can contribute to perceived slippage.

Allow the boots a break-in period of a few shorter hikes. Ensure you are wearing appropriate hiking socks. Adjust lacing to alleviate pressure points.
