Setup
- Charge the Keyboard: Connect the included USB-C to Lightning Cable to the Lightning port on the Magic Keyboard and the USB-C end to a USB-C port on your Mac or a USB power adapter. Allow it to charge for a few minutes before first use.
- Pair with Mac: If your Mac is running macOS 11.3 or later, simply connect the Magic Keyboard to your Mac using the USB-C to Lightning Cable. It will automatically pair. Once paired, you can disconnect the cable for wireless use.
- Pair with iPad/iPhone: For iPad (iPadOS 14.5+) or iPhone/iPod touch (iOS 14.5+), ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device. Connect the keyboard using the USB-C to Lightning Cable for initial pairing. Once paired, you can use it wirelessly.
Compatibility
This Magic Keyboard is compatible with:
- Mac models running `macOS 11.3` or later.
- iPad models running `iPadOS 14.5` or later.
- iPhone and iPod touch models running `iOS 14.5` or later.
Care
- Cleaning: To clean your Magic Keyboard, gently wipe the exterior with a soft, lint-free cloth. If necessary, you can slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid using harsh chemicals, aerosol sprays, or abrasives.
- Charging: Recharge the keyboard using the provided USB-C to Lightning Cable. Connect it to a powered USB-C port on your Mac or a certified USB power adapter. Avoid exposing the keyboard to extreme temperatures or liquids.
- Storage: When not in use for an extended period, ensure the keyboard is charged to at least 50% to maintain battery health. Store it in a dry, cool place.
