The GORE-TEX® waterproofing provides excellent protection against wet conditions. However, for very cold or snowy conditions, consider adding thermal socks or looking for models with specific winter insulation.

It is recommended to try them on with the type of socks you typically wear for hiking. Ensure there is enough room in the toe box for comfort, especially on descents, and that the heel feels secure.

It is not recommended to machine wash these shoes, as it can damage the adhesives, materials, and waterproofing membrane. Hand-wash them with cold water and mild soap as described in the care instructions.

Yes, the insoles are removable and can be replaced with custom orthotics or aftermarket insoles if needed for additional support or comfort.

Ensure the shoe is properly laced to prevent water ingress. Check for any damage to the GORE-TEX® membrane. Moisture can also come from sweat if the shoes are not sufficiently breathable for the activity level or conditions.

Adjust the lacing to secure the heel better. Ensure you have the correct size; a shoe that is too large can cause heel slippage. Consider using thicker socks.

The aggressive tread is optimized for trails. For very smooth or wet paved surfaces, expect reduced grip compared to shoes with flatter outsoles. Ensure the outsole is clean from mud or debris.

Allow for a break-in period of a few shorter walks. Ensure laces are adjusted correctly to avoid pressure points. If discomfort persists, the fit may not be suitable.
