Setup
- Rack Mounting: The switch is designed for 1U rack mounting. Ensure your rack meets the required dimensions.
- Physical Connections: Connect devices to the RJ45 ports using Ethernet cables. Connect fiber optic cables to the SFP slots if needed.
- Power On: Connect the power supply and turn on the switch.
- IP Configuration: Configure the switch's IP address. This can be done via DHCP or manually.
- Access Management Interface: Access the web-based management interface through a web browser using the switch's IP address.
Compatibility
The TL-SG3428 is compatible with:
- Standard Ethernet devices (computers, printers, etc.).
- Fiber optic modules for SFP slots.
- Omada SDN platform for cloud management.
- RADIUS/Tacacs+ servers for 802.1X authentication.
Care
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation to prevent overheating. The switch has no fans. Make sure it isn't covered or blocked.
- Cleaning: Use a dry cloth to clean the exterior of the switch. Avoid using liquids or harsh chemicals.
- Firmware Updates: Regularly update the firmware to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Power: Protect the switch from power surges using a surge protector.
