Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
The Hisense Electric Ceramic Cooker HDE3211BBUK requires professional installation.
- Dedicated Cooker Circuit: Ensure your home has a dedicated cooker circuit, typically identified by a large red cooker switch on the wall near the appliance location.
- Qualified Installer: It is crucial that a qualified and certified electrician or appliance installer connects the cooker to the mains electricity supply. This ensures safety and compliance with electrical regulations.
- Location: The cooker is a standard 60 cm width, designed to fit into most standard kitchen cooker slots. Ensure there is adequate ventilation as per installation guidelines.
Compatibility
- Electrical Supply: Designed for standard domestic electrical supplies suitable for high-power cooking appliances.
- Kitchen Design: Fits seamlessly into most modern kitchen designs with a standard 60 cm gap for freestanding cookers.
Care
- Ceramic Hob Cleaning: After each use, allow the hob to cool completely. Wipe spills with a damp cloth and mild detergent. For stubborn marks, use a ceramic hob scraper or a specialized hob cleaner. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scourers that can scratch the surface.
- Oven Cleaning: The main and conventional ovens are equipped with catalytic liners. To maintain their effectiveness:
- Regularly operate the oven at high temperatures (e.g., during roasting) to activate the self-cleaning properties.
- Once the oven is cool, wipe away any residual ash or loose debris from the liners and other surfaces with a damp cloth.
- For areas without catalytic liners (like the oven door, seals, or base), use a non-abrasive oven cleaner or warm soapy water.
- General Maintenance: Regularly check the oven door seal for damage to ensure efficient heat retention. Clean the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth.
