Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Preparation: Unpack the set and identify all components. Review the included instructions or the Gardena website for detailed setup diagrams.
- Master Unit: Connect the Master Unit 1000 to a water source (e.g., a tap). Ensure the connection is secure to prevent leaks. The master unit regulates water pressure.
- Supply Pipe: Lay out the 4.6mm (3/16") supply pipe along your balcony, positioning it near your plants. Cut the pipe to the required lengths using a pipe cutter.
- Drip Heads: Insert the inline drip heads into the supply pipe where you want to water your plants. Use the pipe pegs to secure the supply pipe.
- Connections: Connect the T-joints, regulating and shut-off valves, and end plugs as needed, referring to the diagrams to understand the setup and ensure proper water flow.
- Testing: Slowly turn on the water and check for leaks. Adjust the drip heads as needed to ensure the water flow suits your plants' needs.
Compatibility:
The Micro-Drip system is compatible with standard water taps and can be expanded with other Gardena Micro-Drip components.
Care:
- Regularly check the system for leaks or clogs.
- Clean the inline drip heads periodically to remove any mineral buildup or debris. You can disassemble and flush them with water.
- In winter, drain the system and store it in a frost-free location to prevent damage.
