Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Loosen the laces, slide your foot into the boot, and then tighten the laces evenly from bottom to top, ensuring a snug yet comfortable fit. The cushioned ankle collar will provide immediate comfort.
- Breaking In: K-leather boots often require a short breaking-in period. Wear them for light training sessions or casual use before a full match to allow the leather to mold to your foot shape for optimal comfort and performance.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This means they are best suited for natural grass fields that are firm, and potentially slightly wet, with short grass. Using them on artificial grass (AG) or very hard/dry surfaces may lead to premature wear of the studs and soleplate, and could affect traction.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your K-leather boots:
- Clean After Each Use: After every game or training session, wipe off dirt and mud using a damp cloth or soft brush. Avoid harsh cleaning agents.
- Dry Naturally: Do not dry your boots near direct heat sources (e.g., radiators, direct sunlight) as this can dry out and crack the leather. Stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and help maintain their shape, then allow them to air dry at room temperature.
- Conditioning (Optional but Recommended): Periodically apply a leather conditioner specifically designed for football boots to keep the K-leather soft, supple, and to prevent cracking. Refer to the product label for specific care instructions.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
