Self Adhesive Film - White

This d-c-fix film is primarily designed for indoor use. While it offers durability, prolonged exposure to harsh outdoor elements (UV, extreme temperatures, moisture) is not recommended and may reduce its lifespan and adhesion.

The film is designed for strong adhesion. If you need to remove it, gently warm the film with a hairdryer on a low setting. This softens the adhesive, allowing you to peel it off more easily. Some adhesive residue might remain, which can usually be cleaned with an adhesive remover or rubbing alcohol.

Basic tools include a measuring tape, a sharp utility knife or craft knife, and a squeegee or soft cloth for smoothing. The d-c-fix application kit (sold separately) provides specialized tools for a professional finish.

Thorough surface cleaning, gradual peeling of the backing paper (only 5-10 cm at a time), and consistent smoothing with a squeegee from the center outwards are key to a bubble-free finish. If a bubble appears, gently lift and re-smooth, or prick with a fine pin and press out the air.

For best results, this film requires a smooth, non-porous surface. Applying it over wallpaper or textured surfaces is not recommended as it may not adhere properly, or the texture underneath might show through, leading to an unsatisfactory finish.

The film can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or strong chemical solvents, as these can damage the film's matt finish.

The film provides a water-resistant surface and can withstand splashes. However, it's not recommended for submerged or continuously wet applications, such as inside a shower or bathtub, where water can seep under the edges over time.

Immediately lift the film slightly back to the point before the bubble/wrinkle. Re-apply slowly, smoothing firmly with a squeegee or soft cloth from the center outwards towards the edges. For small bubbles, gently prick with a pin and smooth out the air.

Ensure the surface is thoroughly clean, dry, and free of dust, grease, or wax. Surface temperature might also be too low; apply in a moderately warm environment. If the surface is too porous, consider a primer first (test in an inconspicuous area).

Ensure all edges were firmly pressed down during application. For stubborn lifting, apply gentle heat with a hairdryer on a low setting (from a safe distance) to reactivate the adhesive slightly, then press down firmly with a cloth. Trim very closely to edges.

Utilize the grid lines on the backing paper for precise measuring and cutting. Use a new, sharp utility knife or craft knife for clean cuts. A ruler or straight edge is essential.
